The holiday season is upon us! With Thanksgiving coming up and Christmas commercials out the wazoo, I decided to spice up some wine (literally) with my own holiday sangria recipe! Apple pie is one of my favorite holiday treats, which is why it is the inspiration for this cocktail.
Holiday-Style Apple Pie Sangria
(makes 2 servings)
2 cups of your favorite white wine
2 shots of vodka
1 cup apple cider
1/2 Fuji apple, cut into slices
1/2 soft pear, cut into slices
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1. Combine wine, vodka, apple cider apple and pear slices, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a container.
2. Let wine mixture sit for 24 hours.
3. Stir wine mixture, pour into a glass, add ginger ale (to taste), and enjoy!
I hope you like this recipe! Be warned, you can’t taste the alcohol at all, so don’t go too crazy with it. Let me know if there are other recipes I should try!
